I have chosen my advertising essay. In order to do this I had to think like an Essayist. Essayists think about their world and have opinions about what they observe. They stick to the main idea and try to write at least five paragraphs.
The paragraphs are very important too. The introductory paragraph includes a thesis statement that clearly states the writer’s position. I needed to make sure that each paragraph sticks to the main idea of a 5 paragraph essay. I also needed to make sure that each paragraph is at least 5 sentences long.
The details in a paragraph are also very important. Each paragraph has to have three reasons or proof to support the thesis. Each reason has to support the thesis. I needed to make sure that there were at least three supporting sentences that relate to the topic sentence of each paragraph. Each paragraph has to include the appropriate examples, details, and other evidence to support my argument or reason.
I also needed to make sure that my paragraphs were organized correctly. Essayists use the successful paragraph method to make sure their essays are in the right order. A concluding paragraph has to restate the thesis without being repetitive. Essayists also edit their piece until they think the piece is as best as it can get. Essayists want to make sure their pieces are just right.
I believe I did well on my essay. I used the successful paragraph method. I also included details. A few things I could improve are maybe I could have more details then I did. I also think I could have more of a reason to back up the reason. That is what I think was good and what I can improve in my pieces.
